About Us

RAID is a french acronym for the African Network for Information and Action Against Drugs.

The agency was registered in 1993 with a mandate to operate as a civil society organization. RAID's head office is located in Kerewan, in the Lower Badibou District of the North Bank Region of The Gambia, West Africa.

Mission

To raise awareness and promote positive actions on issues that affect the advancement of youth, such as illicit drugs and substance use and abuse, including tobacco use, HIV/AIDS, good governance and leadership, adolescent and reproductive health, irregular migration, as well as skills and knowledge acquisition.

Vision

To have a vibrant youth population that will positively contribute to the socioeconomic development of the Gambia.

OUR OBJECTIVES
Objective

To create a forum for youth to develop their full potential and become good leaders of tomorrow, And To sensitize and discourage all forms of irregular migration.

To promote a culture of peace, tolerance, and patriotism among young people in The Gambia, regardless of their different regions, religions, ethnicity, and sociocultural backgrounds

To raise awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco, illicit drugs, and substance abuse on society, especially on youth. Thus, pursue strategies that control this menace.
