Salimatou Fatty
Salimatou Fatty is a human rights activist focused on quality education and gender equality. She founded the Salimatou Foundation for Education (SaFE) and has mentored over 70 teenagers on self-esteem and career development. With a law degree from the University of the Gambia and studies in Gender and Development, she has served in various leadership roles, including on the UN Girls' Education Initiative's Youth Advisory Board. Recognized for her advocacy, she has received the IVLP Impact Award, the European Commission's Leading Young Peacebuilder recognition, and was named among the 100 Most Influential Young Africans in 2017.

Sambujang Conteh Executive Director and Founder
Sambujang Conteh is a seasoned expert in policy change advocacy, youth and women empowerment, education, and organizational management with over 40 years of experience. He is the Founder and Executive Director of RAID-The Gambia and the founder of the Gambia National Youth Parliament and FORUT Gambia. Despite having no formal education, Sambujang has received numerous awards, including recognition from the World Health Organization for his significant contributions to tobacco control in The Gambia. His work has had a lasting impact on the lives of young people and the broader community, making him a prominent figure in advocacy and development.

Amadou Barrow Public Health Advocate & Research Director
Amadou Barrow is a dedicated epidemiologist and PhD candidate at the University of Florida, specializing in maternal and child health, substance use, and digital health. With over a decade of experience, he began his career in 2009 with the Ministry of Health in The Gambia, later serving as a lecturer at the University of The Gambia. Amadou has led significant research projects, including on schistosomiasis, and served as a Risk Communications Supervisor during the COVID-19 response. With over 100 scientific publications, he is committed to advancing global health through research and leadership in both developed and developing countries.

Karamo Conteh Senior Program and Project Manager
Karamo Conteh is a seasoned professional with a strong background in project management, advocacy, and finance. He currently serves as a part-time EU Project Manager Assistant at NGO NEST BERLIN, specializing in implementing outreach strategies, managing EU-funded projects, and promoting cross-cultural collaboration. Karamo has previously held key roles at Migrant Media Network and is currently serving as a Senior Program Officer at the African Network for Information & Action Against Drugs, where he contributes to program development, monitoring and evaluation, and high-level stakeholder engagement. He holds a Master’s degree in International and Development Economics and is passionate about policy advocacy and community development.
Amadou Bah
Amadou Bah is a dedicated law enthusiast and strong advocate against tobacco use, having volunteered at RAID-The Gambia for over five years. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of The Gambia and recently completed his Barrister at Law (BL) program at The Gambia Law School. Amadou was called to the Gambia Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of The Gambia. With a passion for personal and professional growth, he remains committed to making a positive impact in his field.

Kaddijatou Manneh Strategic and Enterpreneuship Manager
Kaddijatou Manneh is a Lecturer in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship at Coventry University with over six years of experience in entrepreneurship training and business advisory services. She owns Le Lieu By BKTrends, a children's clothing business in The Gambia, and has expanded into the groceries sector in partnership with She runs it. Kaddijatou is also a consultant for Discover Gambia. Previously, she worked with Empretec Gambia, supporting local startups. She holds a PhD in Entrepreneurial Finance (Crowdfunding) from Coventry and Deakin University, and a Master’s in Global Entrepreneurship from Coventry University.

Isatou Touray Administrative Secretary
Isatou Touray is a skilled Administrative Secretary with over seven years of experience in streamlining organizational operations. She holds an Advanced Diploma in Management and Communication, giving her a strong grasp of administrative processes. Isatou excels in document control, correspondence management, and effective communication strategies. Her commitment to enhancing organizational efficiency has been a hallmark of her career, making her a valuable asset in administrative management. With her expertise and advanced qualifications, Isatou adeptly handles complex administrative tasks, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

Omar Conteh Advocacy and Communications Officer
Omar Conteh is the Advocacy and Communications Officer for RAID-The Gambia. He holds a BSc in Management and Human Resources from the University of the Gambia and an Advanced Diploma in Business Studies from the Management Development Institute. With over eight years of experience in advocacy and communications, he has worked with community development associations and attended numerous capacity-building trainings locally and internationally. Omar’s role includes creating partnerships, supporting project communication and advocacy strategies, and promoting the organization's programs. He also serves as a liaison between the organization and its external partners.

Mrs. Isatou Jallow Assistant monitoring and evaluation officer
Mrs. Isatou Jallow is the assistant monitoring and evaluation officer for RAID-The Gambia. She is passionate about children and youth empowerment and has been actively involved in this field for several years. Isatou is also the first female youth chairperson for Banjul, and the coordinator for the National Children's Assembly of The Gambia, she has demonstrated her dedication to this cause. She holds a Diploma in Management Studies from the Management Development Institute (MDI). She is also a gender activist and advocate for ending Female Genital Mutilation and Gender-Based Violence.
